If so an exciting opportunity has become available in the Events and Tourism department at Bishop’s Stortford Town Council.  The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational, communication and multitasking skills. Events experience desirable but the ability to learn new and varied skills in a faced paced environment is essential.

This role plays an important part in the organisation of public events within the town. The role holder will be expected to lead on the organisation of specified events under the general supervision of the Events and Tourism Manager. Events include small community gatherings through to large annual events. Despite Covid-19 events are planned for Summer 2021.

Additionally, the role holder will be expected to lead the front line day to day operation of the Saturday market as well as the various specialist markets organised from time to time. The role holder will also assist with the operation of the Tourist Information Centre.

The council has a vancancy for a summer worker during the period May 2021 to September 2021.  This varied and interesting role plays an important part in the organisation within the town, working as part of the Grounds Maintenance Team carrying out day to day maintenance work on the Council’s owned or managed buildings, vehicles and equipment.   The full Job Description and Application Form is attached below (plase note that we do not accept CVs alone).
