EVENTS ADMINISTRATOR 

Do you have the drive, passion and commitment to deliver outstanding events for the local community? If so an exciting opportunity has become available in the Events and Tourism department at Bishop’s Stortford Town Council.  The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational, communication and multitasking skills. Events experience desirable but the ability to learn new and varied skills in a faced paced environment is essential.

This role plays an important part in the organisation of public events within the town. The role holder will be expected to lead on the organisation of specified events under the general supervision of the Events and Tourism Manager. Events include small community gatherings through to large annual events. Despite Covid-19 events are presently lawful subject to government imposed conditions and are planned for winter 2020.

Additionally, the role holder will be expected to lead the front line day to day operation of the Saturday market as well as the various specialist markets organised from time to time. The role holder will also assist with the operation of the Tourist Information Centre.
