The Town Council’s annual Best Allotment Plot competition took place over the summer where the Allotments Sub-Committee, comprising of Councillors Stephen Skinner, Murray White, and David Jacobs, took photos of the plots they considered were the best on each site. The photos were then judged by the Mayor Martin Adams. He considered the best overall plot was Ward Crescent (WRD) 219c. The presentation took place on Saturday 12th September at the (BSAGA) Bishop’s Stortford Allotment and Garden Association’s yearly BBQ to which the Town Council was kindly invited. The Mayor Martin Adams, the Mayoress Amanda Adams and Councillor Murray White presented the award to Site Agent Paul Windmill on behalf of the winning Tenant, who was unable to attend.
All runners-up will receive the first 125sqm of their plot rent-free for 2027 and a full list of the successful plot numbers is available on the Town Council website.
