Beginning her professional singing career with the group CMU with whom she recorded two albums, Larraine Odell performed at numerous venues throughout the UK and Europe, including the Purcell Room, RFH. She has since appeared at Ronnie Scott’s Club as a member of the group Jimpster and at most of the jazz clubs in the region. Jazz Festival appearances include Bures, Aldeburgh, Layer Marney and Southwold.
Larraine’s CD entitled “Portrait” attracted excellent reviews as did her performances on three CDs by Beatifik. One of the most popular pianists on the UK jazz scene, Ted Beament came to fame with the late Humphrey Lyttelton Band with whom he travelled the world playing festivals, concerts and clubs. He now runs his own trio and plays as a sideman in many of the UK’s top jazz groups recording many CDs.
