Bishop’s Stortford Town Council is pleased to announce its first Eco Fair in the Square, taking place on Earth Day, Wednesday 22 April 2026, in Market Square from 10:30am to 4:30pm.

This free community event is open to everyone and will bring together a wide range of local environmentally focused organisations, charities, community groups, and traders. The fair aims to celebrate sustainability while encouraging practical, everyday actions that support the environment, offering residents and visitors an accessible way to learn more about greener living.

At a time when many people are increasingly aware of environmental challenges but unsure where to begin, Eco Fair in the Square provides a positive and welcoming space to explore simple, achievable steps that can make a real difference. The event will also highlight the support and resources already available locally, helping to turn awareness into action.

On the day, visitors can explore eco-friendly stalls, take part in hands-on activities, and enjoy interactive demonstrations such as seed planting and energy-generating bikes. The fair will also showcase local sustainability initiatives, providing opportunities to connect with organisations working across Bishop’s Stortford and discover practical ways to get involved.

Residents and visitors are invited to attend and be part of this community celebration of sustainability.
