Waterside Stortford is a collaboration between

  • Bishop's Stortford Town Council
  • Environment Agency
  • East Herts District Council
  • Hertfordshire County Council
  • Canals and Rivers Trust

and a number of other stakeholders including Bishop's Stortord Civic Federation and Bishop's Stortford Canoe Club.

Its objective is to improve the River Stort in Bishop's Stortford and in particular to develop and seek funding for a realistic vision for a riverside park stretching from Southmill Lock at the South of the Town to the Red White and Blue Meadows to the North.  A vision document is published and comments will be very welcome.  Readers should note that these remain early thoughts to stimulate discussion and landowner commitment and funding for the improvements outlined has not, at the current time, been secured

If you are interested in contributing to this work please contact kim.hollylee@bishopsstortfordtc.gov.uk in the first instance.
