NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT

  1. An election is to be held for a Town Councillor for the said Town Ward.
  2. Nomination papers may be obtained, during normal office hours, from the Deputy Returning Officer at the address shown below.
  3. Completed nomination papers must be delivered to the Deputy Returning Officer at the offices of East Herts Council, at the address shown below, on any day after the date of this notice, during normal office hours but not later than 4pm on - Thursday, 24th April 2014.
  4. If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday, 22nd May 2014 between the hours of 07:00 and 22:00
  5. Electors should take note that the deadline for new applications to vote by post or to change existing postal arrangements e.g. cancellation or re-direction etc must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address shown below by 5pm on Wednesday, 7th May 2014 if they are to be effective for this election.
  6. New applications to vote by proxy or changes to existing proxy arrangements must be received by the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday, 14th May 2014.
  7. The deadline for new applications to be received by the Electoral Registration Officer to vote by proxy on grounds of a medical emergency is not later than 5pm on Thursday, 22nd May 2014

Eastern Electoral Region

Notice is given that an election is to be held in the Eastern Electoral Region for seven members of the European Parliament.  If the election is contested the poll will be held on 22 May 2014 between 7am and 10pm.

 

Standing for election

Nomination papers may be obtained from the address below or from www.chelmsford.gov.uk/euroelections.  Delivery of all nomination papers and consents to nomination must be made in person to the address below and by the date shown.

The deposit for each registered political party or individual candidate (£5,000) may be paid by cash or bankers draft (banks operating in the UK or Gibraltar only), by electronic payment into my account or by debit or credit card.
